HOW TO REQUEST COPIES OF OUR PUBLIC RECORDS
The complete index of Recorder documents is on record from the year 1807-to-present in the Recorder’s Office. All public documents on record in the Miami County Recorder’s Office may be viewed free-of-charge in the office during the business hours of 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
In lieu of searching our index for the documents you need, you may also request copies directly from the Recorder’s Office. Requests may be made by the following methods:
- Visit the Miami County Recorder’s Office located at 201 West Main Street, Miami County Safety Building, Troy, Ohio 45373.
- Request document copies by phoning 937-440-6040. At the time of your phone request, Recorder staff will obtain the necessary information needed to inform you of the copy fee.
- Request document copies on-line, by e-mailing recorder@co.miami.oh.us. Please include phone/fax/e-mail so that you can be contacted if there are questions regarding the request.
- Request document copies by fax (937-440-6044). Please be sure to include your phone/fax number and/or address so that Recorder staff may inform you of the copy fee.
All requests by phone, fax or e-mail are processed in the order received, within the reasonable length of time required for processing. Pre-payment is required. Recorder staff may need to ask you to re-state your request in order to assist you in the most efficient and accurate manner.
Document copy fees are $.05 per page. Certified copies may also be obtained at a fee of $2.00 per page/$1.00 per document seal. At-cost postage is required as part of pre-payment. Reports of indexed information can also be provided on CD; the cost per CD is $2.50. Reports may also be e-mailed free-of-charge.
Please note that Miami County Recorder staff is prohibited from performing title searches and answering questions that are of a legal nature.
